Pittsburgh couple married 12 years
Felt relaxed from first steps thru front door - soft music playing is lovely touch! All the amenities of home AND more = heated towels... heated floor ~ wow!! Arrived to Blackwater Falls from Pittsburgh around 1 PM & did 3 hours of hiking prior to the 4 pm check-in. The hot tub was the PERFECT cure for our tired muscles. Saw the 'Rag Birds' play @ the Purple Fiddle that nite @ had a great time! Cool place w/ a laid back vibe. Saturday we traveled into The Dolly Sods for a day of challenging (and muddy) LOL hiking! We both have a new respect for the raw beauty that WV has to offer. Bear Rock overlook - wow. Spent five + hours in the Sods & again - that hot tub for those post hike muscles/joints. Yes!! This place is fantastic - and we will be recommending Golden Anchor to all of our friends/fam
