Luxury Log Cabin Rentals in Canaan Valley, WV

I-81 Harrisonburg VA area  (coming from southern Virginia, North Carolina)

I-81 to 247B Harrisonburg  exit onto Rt 33 West.  Take 33 West for 79 miles into the town of Harman.  In Harman, turn right onto Rt 32 North.  Follow Rt 32 North for 7 miles.  The Golden Anchor Cabins will be located on the left.  If you see signs for the Canaan Valley State Park entrance, you have gone 2 miles too far.

 

I-66 DC Metro Area (coming from northern Virginia, Martinsburg WV)

I-66 West to I-81 South.  Follow I-81 South for 4 miles to 296, Strasburg exit .  Turn right onto Rt 48 West.  Shortly after the town of Wardensville, WV 48 will turn into a 4-lane road.  Follow this road for approximately 50 miles ("approximate" because the state is continuing to expand the 4 lane road, opening  it to traffic a few miles at a time).  Eventually the 4 lane will end and you will merge onto Rt 92 West.  Follow Rt 92 West until it ends at Rt 32.  Take Rt 32 south 13 miles (continue 2 miles past Canaan Valley State Park) The Golden Anchor Cabins will be on your right.

 

I-70 Hagerstown MD and North East (coming from Harrisburg PA, Baltimore MD)

I-70 West to I-68 West.  Follow I-68 West for 66 miles to exit 14A to Rt 219.  Turn right onto 219 South toward Deep Creek Lake.  Follow 219 for 47 miles (traveling through the town of Oakland, MD and into West Virginia)  In Thomas, continue straight onto Spruce St (which becomes Rt 32 just outside of Thomas).  Continue on Rt 32 South for 15 miles (continue 2 miles past Canaan Valley State Park).  The Golden Anchor Cabins will be on your right.

 

I-79 Pittsburgh PA and North West  (coming from northern and western WV, northern OH, western PA)

I-79 South to Exit 99 Rt 33 East toward Buckhannon.  Follow Rt 33 East into Elkins, WV.  Continue through Elkins downtown.  At the intersection with McDonalds turn left continuing on Rt 33 East.  Follow Rt 33 East 22 more miles into the town of Harman. In Harman, turn left onto Rt 32 North.  Follow Rt 32 North for 7 miles.  The Golden Anchor Cabins will be located on the left.  If you see signs for the Canaan Valley State Park entrance, you have gone 2 miles too far.

 

I-79 Charleston WV and South West (coming from Huntington WV, Kentucky)I-64 Beckley WV (coming from south West Virginia, southwest Virginia)

There are several byways that will take you to our location as well.  HOWEVER, GPS signals can get confused in our mountains, many GPS systems do not like our address, cell phones lose signal in our region, and some of these byways are very windy and narrow.  Unless you're comfortable with the area, we advise following these directions.
